About me

I graduated in May from Dickinson College, with a B.S in Environmental Science. Over the past four years I have developed a passion for combating environmental and social justice issues, as well as ecology.

I developed these interests through my interdisciplinary
coursework, combined with my work for the Alliance for Aquatic Resource Monitoring (ALLARM). At ALLARM, we work to empower communities to monitor the health of their local streams.  This has given me a passion for working at the grassroots level with communities to address social and environmental issues. I have also developed a strong passion for sustainable agriculture through taking related coursework and volunteering on the Dickinson College Farm.

Following graduation, I hiked a section of the Appalachian Trail, along with two friends, for nearly six weeks. It was an amazing experience and has left me wanting more. I feel it is critically important that people protect natural areas and these incredible trail networks.

Currently, I am back where I grew up in Portland, Oregon, trying to figure out the next step. I am looking to follow my passions and continue to gain experience in the non-profit environmental realm. Ideally by working with underrepresented communities concerning water quality or food security issues.
